The Himalayan musk deer teaches us a lot about life. The male deer is born with a gland that when mature releases one of the most treasured fragrances in all the world – musk. The deer having smelt this intoxicating aroma produced by its own body, roams the entire forest trying to trace its source. In this quest, what the deer does not realize is that what it is looking for is actually within himself. Often, we are like the musk deer. Trying to look for our happiness and fulfilment here and there and everywhere, not realizing that our true happiness and contentment actually lies within us.
